When i try to put it into reverse it doesn't always go in.
I have to either put it back into neutral and do 1st -reverse again OR if I slightly disengage the clutch it will go into reverse....
normal for an isuzu. reverse is not synchro'd. even tells you to do the neutral-first-reverse thing in the owners manual.

It's not a problem, its the nature of a manual transmission.
The 5 forward gears are meshed using synchros and have helical teeth helping them to engauge easier. Reverse has no synchro and non helical teeth, so by putting it in the easier first gear, you help to line up the reverse gear so it will engauge, and by letting out the clutch a bit you start things spinning again and the gear will engauge.
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
just curious as it never use to be like this before i replaced the clutch/slave/master
Mine typically always makes a little noise when going into reverse because of this same feature.
Though, I also have a habit of putting it in reverse while rolling forward as well.

What if there is alittle too much fluid in there would it make a diff?
