Driving on the way back from Boston am getting on the highway, grandma shifting 3rd, 4th.. i put it in 5th and the clutch just sticks to the floor. FML, after all the bumps and potholes i hit, now this?!?! I bring it up with my foot, pump it and keep driving normal. Coming to a toll, i downshift to 3rd, drive through and ease into 4th.. The clutch drops to the floor again. Needless to say, it's staying there for a while now. Unless I use my hand to lift it up, it just stays on the floor. I cannot go into gears or start my car unless i put it in neutral then the car starts and gears are fine but i obviously cannot engage the clutch to move the car at all.
NOW, this happened a year and a half ago. I was driving and the clutch fell through going 2nd into 3rd. I cannot find the repair information but am pretty sure something about a cylinder and bearing were fixed all under warranty.
I am still under WARRANTY (GMPP). Let me know what you guys think the problem is.. please give me some input and what should I make sure that the dealership fixes.
Last time I was having clutch problems for 2-3 weeks until they finally fixed it right (took them 3 tries).
Appreciate all the help i can get!
BTW: I MIGHT just have enough funds to do a clutch and flywheel. Any recommendations. Luk, Spec, Bully come to mind. Stage 1 or 2??

have you tried re-bleeding the clutch line? This happened to me once when I did the clutch in the red car, turned out my friend didnt tighten down the bleed all the way down. As for clutch info, I had a spec stage 3 in the LN2 cavi and loved it, the spec 2 in the eco cavi sux, it holds power but is very unpredictable at times for clutch engagement. I don't plan on buying another spec again for my cavi, I'm going to try luk or bully, But I have had spec aluminum flywheels on both cars and love them dispite all the negitive feedback you will get the red car has had one over 30k and I know the current owner and all it well. The silver car has had one for roughly 10k.
Id say you gotta slave and/or master cylinder on the way out, or bad already.
it is a master cylinder, dealership is fixing it tomorrow.

I lucked out I guess you can say, and it ended up being a clutch line rubbed through, and made a hole, leaking fluid everywhere. $220 fix.
I purchased my spec 3/ Aluminum flywheel combo from TTR when I did the red car. I lucked out on the silver car though and paid 300 for the spec 2/ aluminum flywheel combo from a classifide add earlier this year when a member had old cav parts laying around since he got out of j's and it was still all shrink wrapped and in the box from spec.
Just an update for possible future reference...
Clutch actuator cylinder leaked and caused the master cylinder to go as well.
Yea thsi is extrmely common there was a tsb about the slave cyclinders going out fairly common. Mine went out and took my clutch with it.

I too just had a clutch line rubbed through. I got a new line. I know how to install it but how do I bleed it?

"To bleed the clutch, have someone open the bleeder screw then smothly push the pedal the the floor and hold it and have your buddy close it. Then do it again till there is no air."
