whei i turn it up the transmission starts making a noise at idle i was wondering if it is normal
or some thing i should worry about i searched all 7 pages and coould not find the answer

I bet your talking about torque converter shutter, and no it is not good. My stock converter did it until it failed......but it did take about a year or so. You might also be low on fluid which can cause it as well.

If its a medium to high pitch spinning and whining sound with little gurgles it is the pump in the transmission that circulates the fluid making noise i believe. The higher you turn it up the louder that sound gets because the pump is increasing the pressure of the fluid and working harder. I generally kept mine set to the point at which you just can barely hear that sound at idle.
Have you checked the fluid level yet? That'd be the first thing to do and then trouble shoot from there.
