F23 differences.

What is the difference between an F23 from an Eco or an LN2 besides the Bellhousing?
Are the input shafts the same?

I have an Eco trans with a LN2 bellhousing, just wondering if it will work or does the input shaft need to be swapped also?

What clutch kits can be used as well? this may be used for a 60*V6 down the road?

Cool, so I do not have to change input shaft, thats a releif, was thinking about it yesterday and got worried lol.

As for Clutch Plate/disk I am guessing only a 2000+ LN2 will work?

This Trans is for a possibly 60*V6 so am not sure what all pressure plates and disks will fit?

(was hoping an old 3.1T J Body would but have my doubts)

Any thoughts on other possible kits that will work?

Thanx.

rob if you are using it for a 60 V6 you need a 2200 Getrag trans Spec, Bully doesn't matter just when you order it don't tell them what your doing just order a clutch for a 2000-02 2200 it will bolt up to any 3.1 or 2.2 flywheel

Thanx Matt, I was hoping there were more options than just the 2000+ Non Ecos, guess no luck though

Bully Stage 3 for a 2000 LN2 for $640,
kit includes Disk 200% Pressure Plate and Slave/Though out bearing.

Sounds like a good price?

GM RPO codes for the Getrag F23 Transaxle
There are only 3 RPO codes for it, the M86/M94 (rated for lighter vehicles with a maximum GVWR of 4094 lb) and MG3 (MG3 is rated for heavier vehicles with a maximum GVWR of 4475 lb).

M86 Getrag F23 3.58 2.02 1.35 0.98 0.69
M94 Getrag F23 3.58 2.02 1.35 0.98 0.69
MG3 Getrag F23 3.58 2.02 1.35 0.98 0.81

MG3 is the saturn Vue 4 cylinder 5 spd trans

those number are the same as if you look on a 2.4L timing chain cover it will have a 3 digit leter and number code thats so they know what they put in. GM calls them RPO (Regular Production Option) manufactures call them Broadcast codes or ID Codes
See in this picture it says TX9 that is an option or a way for GM to know what engine is in that car TX9 could be a year, plant and shift ID too
