I ran the luk stock replacement for a long time with no issues. I think Kyle's running the same thing with his tvs setup and hasn't had a problem. The only upgraded option for the eco that I haven't seen at least one complaint about is the ld9 act 6 puck sprung clutch disk with a stock replacement eco pressure plate.
I bought my cav with ~43k on it and bone stock. It is now up to ~104k. I have never changed the clutch and it still grabs fine. I dont know if the clutch was ever changed before i owned it.
Stay away from Spec clutches also. I had 2 of them that were trash and would never get one again. I love my clutchmasters clutch, no chatter and takes abuse been in the car for 45k ish miles.
I have an LUK replacement that shockingly has been holding. It just gets mad if i start at 2k in 4th and load it hard like that under boost. If i shift at 6500+ in any gear it holds fine. I never push the car in 5th though ( I did once, but it was brief and the clutch kept up).
I have like 20k on this clutch and no complaints at all. I hope to put down a number close to 400wtq (a guy can hope!) and it doesnt seem to mind.
If I had to do it again, I would probably go with a spec 4. If I shred this one I will probably get a 4.
This is on an LN2, and from what I remember the disc is like 1/4" smaller in diameter than the DOHC clutches. Not sure it makes a huge difference.

So... I was unaware of this hybrid clutch setup. What an awesome idea. Anyone ever had any issues with this setup? I am doing a clutch job on my Eco and was not sure what I wanted to do.
Anyone have the part number for the LUK pressure plate? Amazon has the ACT disk for like $170... not bad. What kind of power are you guys running using this setup?
