noises with aftermarket wheels

sup guys,

I'm having some weird noises with my 17" enkei arashi wheels :

1) sometimes when I go over a rather harsh bump I hear a clunking sound, not sure what it is

2) also when I slow down to about 40 km/h I hear a small rattling noise coming from the driver side front wheel, but I only hear it at that speed and only when I'm slowing down to that speed, at stops and such.

Number one thing is I'm not lowered yet, but plan to be in a couple of weeks, and also I'm not using hubcentric rings because the guy whom I bought my wheels from said the wheel hole was just right for my car.

Any idea of what could be the problem ?

1) It's a harsh bump, you should hear a clunking noise, prob your suspension being slammed against the car. Slow down for the bumps and you prob won't hear it. LOL Seriously, I'm not sure what that noise is.

2) As for the rattling prob someting on the inside of the wheel, in between the whhel and rim, and you would only hear it at slow speeds cause at high speeds centrifical(sp?) force would hold whatever the foriegn object is against the wheel. And I'm being serious about this, take it to a shop have them pull the tire off the rim and I'd bet money there is something in there.

thanks for answering.

1) Scared the bejeezus out of me at first, happened the day after I bought my rims lol

2) I did take it to the shop where I bought my rims, but it didn't make the sound anymore. That was frustrating, but I guess it was also a relief.

All is good now, except the horrible clunking noise when I pass through big bumps, but it doesn't happen very often. Last time it did was yesterday when I slammed the brakes on the highway because a SUV on the middle lane (I was in the left) decided to switch to the left one. Oddly the middle lane was going like 20 mph while the left was going 60, I guess he didn't see me cuz I almost rear-ended him, and I hit a normal bump which I hit everyday with no sound but since I wa on the brake there was this huge clunking sound.

1 could be your strut mounts
2 could be loose lug
