Has anyone went down a 1/4 mile with 2 space saver spares on the back? I've seen people put spares on to shave weight, but the tires are only speed rated for like 60mph, so would they lose grip ( handleing)at the end of the 1/4 mile? I have even heard of putting motorcycle tires on spares for weight saving but enough grip?
I just bought a 15" full-size ( black steel) spare w/ tire, and another space saver besides the one in the trunk for $100.
This way I can have a full size set-up for daily driving, or just two 15"ers up front, and two spares in back for the Sacramento raceway.
