I've got a set of 15" Konigs that the local tire shop changed the tires on yesterday. One of the rims got scratched very badly. The owner has offered to pay for a new one, but they are discontinued...

Is there a way to sand / polish these and make them at least look decent? I have a Dremel and around 150 bucks in credit...

They were a gift to my wife and I feel terrible to leave her with one bad wheel.

take it to a wheel shop and let them repair it. if you do it, you'll probably make it worse
