I would go find a set of 15" steelies, the smaller diameter will get you better times.

Or go find some aftermarket aluminum wheels, something like 15x7 with some 225/60-15 rubber.

Motegi Traklites! 10 lbs a piece. 15" for around $200 a wheel.

I dunno... but, 9...10... who cares their light as hell!

As for the original ? I'm not sure what would be better. Both options are probably very close in weight. I would pick whichever has stickier tires.

My stock 15" steelies weigh in at 19lbs(w/o the wheel cover), my 16" '95-'99 Z24 5 spokes weighed in at 16lbs. Can't tell you about the LS Sport wheels. Remember though, the moment of inertia is probably greater with the Z24s than with the steelies, due to the additional mass located towards the outer part of the rim.

I am looking at using the steelies for a set of drag radials, though with a shorter diameter tire. I'm looking to get a set of 205/50R15s (23" dia) as opposed to the 195/65R15s (25" dia) that were stock on those rims. This will give me an approximate equivalent of a 3.73:1 gear ratio, with the gears I'm using now.
