Ok heres whats going on. I currently have 225-45-18's on my car but am currently selling them. I plan on buying a set or Trak Lites in 15x7 w 32 offset. Now my question is how wide of a tire can I run on this rim with that offset? I deffinaltly want at least a 215 wide but would prefer a 225, how can I figure out what the sidewall has to be to help keep the speedo accurate? I did try the discount tire site and tire rack but that was of little help.
Thanks for any input. Jeff
i have a 225 on a 6 inch rim
You can easily run a 225 width tire on a 7 inch rim.

Sold 2/2/05
225/55r15 would be optimal for that size wheel.
Why wouldn't you go with 16's? you can get some gram lights or something that are almost as light, and it won't look as retarded -- also you don't have to worry about rolling over on the tall ass sidewalls you'd have to have with 15's. The only reason why those traklites are popular with civic/integra guys is because they already have a small OD, so they can run lower profiles tires with 15's.
I'd go with a 16x7 with a 225/50r16.

I would not advise doing this you lose any benifits of having a wider tire because the side wall flexes more, and the actual width of the tread is less because of the sidewall being pulled in.
For my Crosslace beretta wheels I have i'm running a 215-60-15

Not sure how they would fit on yours, but my Maro's rims are 15 by 7, and I am running a 245/60. They sit nicely too.
I will soon be running 245/45R17's.
Anyways, not sure if that would rub or anything on yours, but that's about the widest I think you can go. Possibly a 255, not sure though.

I don't know I had a buddy mention the possibility of going 235 on 16's and rolling the rear lips, and I have had plans for aquiring 2k+ toyo front fenders. But we'll see im still trying to find a 16's that i like that have listed weights.
If you want to know about running wide ass wheels, you should check out my thread on my 18x8.5's.
Thanks man I will look into that. I think i have the most help when i post about wheels than any other place on this board. lol thanks again
