Sides of tires

Is there a correct side to tires eg. the white walls install inside rather than outside. Will this cause faster tire wear or is this dangerous at all?

only if they are directional tires ie. performance tires (most of them) if theyre regular tires, it usually doesn't matter

if they are directional tires look on the side of the tire and it will say rotate and the arrow will be point in the direction it should be going. if you have them on backwards your gonna notice that its gonna be really hard to drive in the rain cuz you will slide everywhere

basically what he said....if you have a directional tire backwards.......you should be able to feel it

no you wont, not unless its wet, the only reason dirrectional tires are dirrectional is because of the way they chanel the water

There are some tires that are SIDE specific. Fuzion HRi and Goodyear RSA are both side specific. Also Pirelli makes a tires that specifically startes wether it is a RIGHT side tire or a LEFT side tire.

There are many side specific tires, it'll state it on the tire though.

tires that have a specific side needing to be mounted out are called assymetrical. the one side of the tread shoulder is different from the other and in order to perform the way the tires is designed to, you should have them mounted correctly. some truck tires (BFG LongTrail T/A's) may have the white letters on the side that needs to be mounted outside, other wise both sides will be black letters. if you dont like white letters, get the ones in that size that have both black sides or get out your sharpie.

directional tires are directional MOSTLY for displacing water better. now heres the thing... some directional tires are not designed to be used in the rain at all (BFG G-Force T/A KD's are dry only, also directional and assymetrical). directional tires when mounted backwards may not perform properly. they wont displace the water out the sides of the tire, but for some the tire is designed that way to help disipate heat too. if a tire does not didipate heat faster or in time with how fast it heats up, the tire can chunk apart or even blow.

theres a reason for everything, and before you do something, especially with your tires, you need to understand and know the consequences.
