How to get rust off Rims Need Help

Hey looking for some advance that could help me out here.I didn't have time to change my brakes in a awhile so I was riding on the pretty bad .This caused my rims to get a layer and brake rust on them.No I need to know I way to get it off with out scatching the finish tryed a SOS pad and it worked but scratched the rims .Pleae someone help me.

I wonder if that Mother's ball would work? If not, hot water and a power washer.

I have had luck getting Satisfied ceramic brake dust off of OEM Civic alloys using stright Simple Green and some dollar store green scouring pads. Like the Scotch Brite ones, but these are not even remotely as aggressive, so they did not scratch the surface.

Wet sand paper (3M 2000) will remove the ugly stains from brake dust and some waxing will leave your rims as new or you could use Castrol Super Clean all wheel cleaner wich is very tough on stains and dirt, just donīt leave it on for more than a minute or so and rinse very well.
