Ok last night on the drive home from work my front driver side tire almost came off!!!!!! Yes i said it it almost came off!!!! When i stopped the only thing holding it on was one lung nut!! As i walked back to the trunk i saw in the road there were 2 more of my lug nuts but they still had my lug studs in them!!!! So i busted two lug nut studs off and now have no idea how to fix or what i should do!!! Can anyone help me here please!?!? And is this a problem for any other of you sunfire drivers????

simple search brings up how to replace them
Replace studs
its common for people with aftermarket wheels. are you using hub rings or no? if your not running hub rings then thats why. hub rings take all the weight off the studs and center it on the hub.
ok thats good to know but i have stock rims on it right now

Stock wheels on it right now means nothing, if you ran your other wheels for quite a while and did alot of driving on them, it weakened the studs. If I were you, I would replace every single stud on your car, it will be a pain, but it's the only option you have in my opinion. Get all new lugs too if you must. And do NOT run your nice wheels until you get centering rings. Hand torque your wheels to 100 ft. lbs, and about a week or two later check the torque of the wheels again, just to make sure.

yea i not have the rims that are in the pict he sold those before i got the car but i did the DIY i read and that worked grate!! But now when i go by the rims i want do they come with those rings or do i have to buy them seperate and were can i get them?

they come seperate. any tire place should have them. you need an inner diameter for 57.1mm and the outter is whatever size the center bore is for the rims
OK i am looking into these rims for the sunfire but i want to know what the differance is and if any one has either and picts would help!! I know the weight differance but other than that whats left???

ones 4 lug and ones 5 lug
honestly we arent going to be able to tell you unless you give us a link to the page. theirs probably nothing different about the wheels other than the brand
centering rings only center the wheel on the hub. the lugs and nuts hold the wheel on.
the most common cause of wheel offs is improper torque. too little torque wont create enough clamping force to hold the wheel on the hub properly. too much torque stretches the studs and reduces the yield point of the stud or nut.
best prevention method:
1. torque ur wheels to 100 lbs-ft.
2. make sure the hubs of the rim and the wheel are clean. dirt/rust will eventually come free and ur wheel will loosen. fhis can put strain on nuts n studs.
3. make sure ur studs and nuts are clean n dry. most tq specs r based on a dry measurment.
this is right out of TIA [tire industry association] training and my training for work.

100 lbs-ft is based on this particular vehicle. always tq to specifications

oh i got that fixed now so thanks for the info.
As far as a link for the tires i found them on www.tirerack.com and i know the lug pattern in the picts is different but anything else i dont know anything about rims

Are those the ASA JS8's? Nice choice if they are. The ASA's are probably a little cheaper, but other than that, they look identical.
Gotta keep on livin', L-I-V-I-N
sadly they are both the same price!!!
