hey what would have a better sound. a muffler tip or dual exhaust on my 2.2 4cyl cavi? what would the difference in the sound be?

00Cavalierbo: first off, you are comparing two things at opposite ends of the spectrum. tip------vs------dual exhaust
a muffler tip alone will not really do much of anything as far as exhaust tone, basically nothing. the sound will depend mainly based on what muffler(s) you are using. there have been a bizillion threads about what exhausts/mufflers people recommend. search, read, decide

i understand what he was saying and his purpose... but that is the exact reason that so many people are driven away from the site.

I'm not expert on exhaust, his question was fairly basic (IMO) and i completely understand your point... i do the same thing. im not workin on my suspension (or car) anymore so i typically do not go into those forums.

i understand and it might of been an easy question and to be quite honest with you i didnt even both reading it. the majority of the time if someone is posted in the wrong forum, instead of answering it, i usually just skip over it since it doesnt deal with the forum im in. im sure he didnt read it and just say this is the wheel and tire forum. yea he could of said this is the wrong forum, it would fit better say in the performance forum. meh, oh well. atleast he knows the answer to his question, no help from me lol
damn folks sorry didnt mean to post it in here wasnt; paying attention to what i clicked on. my freaking bad. and i did post it in the performance catagory if you all would of looked if its that big of a deal.
Either that or this thread will eventually get moved.
The problem with exhaust is this:
Even on 2 identical engines, 2 identical setups will not sound the same.
