18X8 40mm Offset Need Help

i have a 2000 Z24 its on stock suspension im wanting to get 18'' American Racing Chrome Casino's they are 18x8 with 40mm offset which tire would be the best for me i dont want it to rub or stick out either and as of right now no plans of lowering it. sorry if this has been asked before but i have been searching with not much luck

225/45/18 is what alot of people run on here.

im geting my rim/tires from www.rims-n-tires.com they said 215/40/18 is what i need because 225 was to wide for a a cavalier

225 on an 8 inch wide rim. 215 on a 7-7-1/2" rim. However, either will work with either, if you look past how far the 215 will be stretched on the 8" rim.

I went with 215, on 7 1/2".

heck on a 8" wide rim even a 225 looks a bit stretched, can't imagine how stretched a 215 would be.
