What is the biggest difference between 215-40r18 and 225-40r18 tires?
Are there any good pics of Cavs with 18's on these different tires?
Thanks for all the responses. It was a great help.
I decided on buying a set of 215-40zr18s, so they should be on the way shortly.
From the research I could do, it seemed like those would give me the cleanest look and performance, that I am after. We'll see...
Okay. I got the 215-40-18s on and they were definitely the way to go, I think.
I will say this: I think the 215-35-18s make/made my rims pop more. I think. But the 215-35-18s were such a terrible ride and my rims suffered some damage from the MN potholes our government apparently likes to leave everywhere. Whatever.
I would have shot you guys a couple photos but Discount Tire broke three of my center caps in the process of installing my tires yesterday!
They have (or are) ordering the caps for my Konig Sideways rims so it will be a few days yet before I can show some photos.
Unfortunate. Glad you went with 40s. 35s ride like a box with wheels.

Definitely. Worst/roughest ride in a car ever. I do think my rims stood out a little more for whatever reason, but I do not think the ride (or damage they suffered) as a result of the 35s was worth it.
I got 235 40's going. I like them pretty well. Had to do some fender fixing to get them to fit, but overall not dissatisfied.

Just wanted to tell you guys: The Lionhart LH-504 tires are the TRUTH.
I couldn't be happier with these tires, as the price I paid for a set of 4 new 215-40-18s was just over $180 (for the set!) and they are QUIET!
I've bought new cheap tires before that were louder than hell, and these tires are quite quiet and nice. In addition, the sidewalls look really nice.
Any way, as I said above, the 215-40-18s were definitely the way to go, not infinitely better hitting bumps over my 215-35s, but still better and I think just about right for a low enough profile look, and yet enough meat to handle the random MN pothole.
