Momo Automatic shift knob install

Hey guys,

I'm trying to install a momo automatic shift knob into my 99 sunfire GT but am having no luck with the top button being able to change gears. I inserted the rubber adapter into the knob itself thinking this was the right way to get it to fit to the shaft (wrong, me = fail lol) but after attaching the knob to the shaft it won't budge. I'm having a hell of a time trying to get the rubber insert out but anyone who's done this before your input is appreciated

i never had to use any rubber on mine, just slid it on top and screwed it down. take the rubber piece off and retry it, hold the knob and depress the button if it works screw it down if not either move it down a bit farther, or move it up a little and rety.

yep, yanked out the rubber adapter and just installed the knob without it, works fantastic and feels great.
