Will replacing just the blown air bags make the light turn off, or does the module recognize they went off and keep the light on, do i have to replace the module under the seat? and the crash sensor up front?
Im pretty sure you have to replace the modual with the airbags.
its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa
do i need to "program" the module to the BCM? or in other words..will i need a scan tool?
also mostlikley need a new clock spring as the conectors usally melt when they go off.
make sure you get a module with the same #'s on it so it will match the bcm
no programming needed
assuming you have an 00+ for the BCM thing its helpful if people had a car litsed in the profile
JBO since July 30, 2001
i have both 4 sale if you need them
As long as the airbag module part number matches it will work without programming and without complications with the bcm.
Sometimes the little wires melt in the clockspring, hit or miss if they do. The sensors unless they are physically damaged should work since it's just a magnet on a spring that connects terminals like a switch.
