hvac light problem elec???
Tuesday, February 15, 2005 2:13 PM
ok here is my problem.. my lights in my hvac come and go as they please.. i am guessing there is a short in the wire somewhere cuz i have put in new bulbs and its still doing it.. my question is, can i just run a new wire from my fuse box to my bulbs.. and if so.. do i have to bring the amps down (resistor???) or can they just run off of a 12v source??? any help would be appriciated.. thanks all..

hmm i never had this problem, but when you say come and go as please, are you referring to them flickering or shut of for long periods of time? If i were you before running the new wire i would check the connections already there, very much sounds like a poor ground or loose connection somewhere. hope this helps a little bit.

well i figure its something with the connection.. however my lights for my ac and read defroster work fine (when you turn them on) but the hvac lights (background lights) don't work like way more then half the time.. like say 90% of the time they dont work.. anyways.. i think the colors of the wires were brown and some other color.. anyone know which on is the power wire???

I have the same problem, but I installed my neon tubes to the fuse box using a fuse tap. My defroster and A/C light are fine. Also my dimmer light want come on either.
