I unplugged my gauges, Hvac and radio a couple weeks ago so that I could remove the bottom half of the dash. Well since I am still driving the car, I plugged the them all back in. But now when I try to turn on my driving lights. I see light out side from the headlamps. But nothing lights up, no gauges, no hvac, no radio. If you wait about 7 seconds they all light up, but I dont want a delayed gauge. I need to know whats wrong.thanks
Fuses might be going bad, check them. And make sure all your wires and connections are good and snug.
I'm having the exact same problem.
Superman - did you ever figure this one out?
Does anyone know which fuse belongs to the interior lights? (I don't have a manual).
Thanks.
it's the one that says ALARM on the fuse map or it might be INT. LAMP
i'll send u a an e-mail with a pic
Just got your e-mail. Thanks! I really appreciate you taking the time to send me that information.
By the way, my light problem went away. I was driving for a while with my dash apart because of some gauge problems. The problem with the lights delay only occurred when my fog lights / dimmer panel connections were unplugged. Once I plugged them back in, the problem went away.
Thanks.
Yea,im having the similar problem i cant see to fix. The fuse went earlier today and all the lights for the gauges stopped working,so i just replaced the fuse and it worked ,but not as bright, so i turned the car on tonite and then the lights and the gauge lights just went off completly and i checked the fuse and its not that... and there was a little bit of smoke which came from under the cluster and above the steering wheel, anyone know how i can fix this?
For Matthew: No problem dude, i'm glad you solved your problem

did you use the right size of fuse? (was it the same amperage as the stock one?)
about the smoke you might had a short circuit in there, you wires aren't probably isolated right and they touched the grounding, check ALL your fusses again.
Octavian
yea it was the right size, ill have to check the wires and see if thats the problem
yeah one's probably touching something that made it cut the isolation, make sure you put a good layer of eletrical tape if u find it
I have a similar problem-i wird my radio without an aftermarket harness- and my gauges wont light up...so until i get the harness-i stuck LEDs back there..and they look schweet...gonna wire a switch for it...
