Question on Air Bag wires
Sunday, October 16, 2005 8:51 AM
I took out the air bag sensor that is under the passenger seat. What I was wondering is it safe to cut the wires that plugged into it? Just curious I hate the wires just to be laying there under the carpet if they are not needed.

I have no airbags or sensor. I have somethings that I am working on and they are in the way.

A pillow strapped to the dash??? Hope you never have passenger in there...... I'm guessing that you'll put an airbag back in there, if not then don't drive with someone in the passenger seat, if you get involved in an accident your in some real troubles...

I wouldn't drive my car with a passenger if it didn't had a passenger airbag. I don't care about me, but you are fully responsible of the passengers. I wouldn't be able to stand the fact that the passenger is dead in an accident cause I removed the airbag. Some people can live with that but not me. It's his choice, I just don't like the idea. If you were trying to be sarcastic, it was dumb. To each his own opinion. I prefer to get killed in an accident than to have to live with the death of someone. I know it's extreme, you can tell me that your the best driver around, but you have to think that there's some idiots out there with a driving license. Over And Out!!!! What are you doing in your car Jeremy, if it's not top secret

I'm fiberglassing the dash and have an idea going thru the head on something motorized that comes out of the part where the air bag use to be. Plus this car is not daily driven anymore. Its going to be an only show car when I'm done.

ditto on that

Jeremy (Redcavi98) <--- when i took my dash out, i disconnected the battery to take my airbags out, but that was just in case the thing doesn't pop, when i'm 4 inches away........ if i were you, do that, take the airbag fuse or relay out, and cut your wires, but do something with the ends. i think your airbag light will come on also, mine did when i had mine out for 3 weeks
