is there a way to wire these up so they automatically come on with your headlights?
maybe setup some kind of relay or something?
I assume I could wire them through an ignition circuit, so when I turn the car off, they will automatically turn off.

probably put the 12v wire for the gauges to whatever color the switch is for your low beams.
i am just going to put it on a power cord and then on a switch its easier and you dont ahve to hunt for a specific wire.
just hook them up to a fuse that doesnt have constant power. meaning they only work when your key is in the on post. in the ignition its what i did then you dont have to worry about hitting a switch every time you want to turn them on or off. better that way then forgetting to turn them off and having a dead battery
to the left of the steering wheel(in the console to the wheel) there is a brown wire going to the light switch. tap that wire, and you're good to go(well, ground the black wire obviously). that brown wire will make the gauges come on when you turn the light son

right, i understand how to tap into an ignition switched circuit..
my reverse glow gauges came with a push button. (not a toggle switch) you have to press it once to turn it on, and press it again to turn it off. if you short the connections together, it doesn't do anything. Understand what I'm saying?

I know what you're saying. You have to press the button to turn them on. Shorting the button doesn't do anything; I already tried. I ended up spending an extra 15 bucks for a transformer that doesn't have the on/off switch, and I an change the color.
