i hate the fact that the levers 2 open the back seat are in the trunk. has any done anything to relocate these so you can open the back seats from inside the car? if so how did you do it or how might i make this possible? thanks in advance.

i know on my 99 the rear seat was one piece and had a pull tab to open it from inside, i would think you could just swap the rear seat back out, not a 100% sure it will work.
Or just connect a sloenoid to the pulls similar to the trunk release latch.

I hate it also Sal,
Took me a while to figure out where the trunk release was. More convinient in the back seat like my 97. Its one of those little nicks and nacks that I hate about my '05.

well i think switching the seat would be a pita and then it would only b 1pc instead of 2. im not 2 familiar with solenoids but i would look into that and try 2 make this possible. the reason im doing this is because i always have everything in my trunk like my clothes so when i go out after work or stuff like that and i hate it how i have 2 get out of my car (sometimes on rainy days) and go 2 the trunk and open it y can i just open the back seats from inside the car. so i would look into these solenoids and see how they work and how i might be able to put them in. if you have a brief background on them on how they work let me know. thanks guys

take a small towell (or I used 2 of those blue shop paper towels) fold them nicley slightly oversized of the hole on the back of the seat where the seat locks to the rear deck. Stuff it in there nicley and vola your done.

BIG CHANGES
i remounted the lever assembly on the rear deck inbetween the cracks of the seats. it worked well but i ended up getting a new rear deck and took it out
i want those rear 60/40 split seats, makes it harder for theives to get into my trunk, no keyhole, and release is disabled, all i need now is the rear seat with the in trunk release, and then only my remote can get in

I'm so doing a solenoid to the pulls. never though of that before but sounds good.
