Well, after a lot of phone calls which all started in December when I ordered my gf her custom gauges (LambofGoddess)
I got to know alex, and he's a really awesome guy and an absolute pleasure to deal with.
So I popped a question on him about a custom mod to the gauge face on a Jbody and to my surprise nobody had ever
done it before. So after some discussion and after I finally picked out my colors, I commissioned alex to make me these:

this is the design I decided to go with for the skwirl
here's something a bit more fancy
and remember, these are just initial designs.. he can still do the custom font and layout thing on top of the tach and
speedo swapped. we're still hashing out the details about everything, so I'm not going to release any information about
pricing yet, I'll let alex do those honors.
I just couldn't hold in the secret anymore...
if you're interested, this will be the thread to express it since he'll be watching, and the demand could make or break this.
what do you guys think?
ps. i'll be sure to post pics of mine both during day and illuminated when I get them and install them.

and just so everyone knows, he gives you the whole cluster so everything that needs to be modded for this to work properly right out of the box is done for you.
I saw that it's the 140 conversion. I'd like to do a black background, white letters, with red letters/needles at night. hope he can do that.
I have to say, I like the bottom one the best, especially if the borders are illuminated.

Man honestly that is really awesome. It would take a bit to get used to (Honest ,Officer I was only going 6500 mph...err wait I mean...no I'm not drunk!) Add some blue LEDS to that and I'm sold. The website is blackcatcustom right?

thats damn nice, but i dont think i'd be up to it only becuz mines a auto, don't need to watch the RPMs as much lol but still sweet nonetheless. Good job alex.
I dont like it PJ sorry.. I like the way our clusters are now, the actual design and looks are nice but I would keep the tach and speedo the same

maybe thats cuz someone's too chicken to drive at a track where something like this would really come in handy?

The way I've been talking to Alex is through info@blackcatcustom.com, thats about it. He's good at not leaving you hangin with the responce time though.
Damn, I wish I could've done a Black Cat Guage face on my Sunfire cluster...Now I'll just have a LED red cluster with aluminum overlay and stock face...and no car to put it in...

I've already got mine on order...Alex said that someone was getting this...I hoped I would be the 1st one to post on it. Keep us up to date if yours works or not...Alex was keeping his fingers crossed on this one! He's a great guy...up on all the stuff with the clusters and the like.
He told me your cluster will be shipped out tomm/Monday I think. Let me know how yours works, mine will be made very similar to your's if all goes according to plan. He's waiting to see how it worksout first...Yep...your the ginea pig on this setup!

I'm unimpressed. I also installed W00tburger's blackcat gauge and was unimpressed with that as well. There were 'hotspots' where the light was much brighter than others and certain parts didn't light up...

I love the idea.
To me, the tach is the most important gauge and this cluster has it smack-dab in the middle. Very Porch-esq, Ferrari-esq.
I am considering changing my gauges (again lol) and this is what I have always been wanting.
