Ran Out of Resin

Ok, big problem, the fleece I had purchased turned out to be quite heavy and used more resin than i had thought it would, and I ran out partway through the initial resin application to the fleece.

My problem is this, because some of the cloth only has not completely been soaked in resin, am i going to need to strip the cloth on there now that has dried and start fresh, or do i just get more resin and continue from where i left off.

Just start where you left off. The glass is what is going to give it strength anyways. What are you making? I want pictures

also not to threadjack but you got it backwards, fiberglass's strength comes from the cloth and fiberglass, not the resin itself.

Polyester is the only chemical you can stop and restart on. If you were using epoxy it would not bind and actually force a chemical seperation. Theres a lot one can learn about chemicals and glass....

^^ not true...polyester has waxes in it and youhave to scuff the surface up a tad for it to bond to the other resin..no biggie tho..as for epoxy not bonding..bs..scuff it and it will stick..phil

probalby one of those small containers. most people dont buy gallon jugs until they start learning how much they really need. then you find yourself with a couple gallon containers sitting around lol
