Does anyone know what to use to release mount plate attached to winshield were rear view mirror attaches to windshield. I have to change mounting plate on winshield in order to use my other mirror I have to put on 05 cavalier. Don't know if they make something to release glue that holds plate to winshield or not. Please help if you can.
You are better off to glue your new tab onto the old one. If you buy a rear view mirror repair kit, it says so on the back.

This may sound dumb but i found that the easiest way 2 do it is to put the mirror back on and just pull down on it from the middle it will smap the metal tab right off, without any damage to the windshield too.
You may have a good lookin Cavi, But is it a Z24?
