Here in Des Moines we have this place called Wrench And Go. It's a pick-a-part junk yard, you pull the parts yourelf, and they charge by the part, not by the car. So a driver's door costs like $40 whether it's off a Chevette or a Porsche. I went out there today to find parts for my buddy's Daytona Shelby and not only did we find every part he needed except the rear quarter (gotta cut that out), we also managed to find a load of parts for my car.
So here's the list of what I got so far:
Sunfire console - complete - $15
Dash windshield trim piece - $5
Side window defrost vents - $2 for both
83 Trans Am Recaro seats - $80
The Recaro seats are a bit torn up on the bolsters and the console was missing the little ash tray or cupholder or whatever it is on the back for the rear passengers but I'm sure I can find that piece somewhere. Right now I plan to reupholster and use the Recaro seats but even if I don't I'd bet I can get a nice price for them.
Nice! We used to have a few good yards around here in AZ but lately they all seem to be cleared out. I cant even find the 00+ dash/radio bezel down here atl all! if you see one up there will you let me knwo I am in need badly.

Sure, I'll keep an eye out. I'm going down there again on Friday to see if I can find some new door panels and I need to find some parts for my g/f's brother. He has an old 280Z turbo that he needs a few things. They're kind of hard to come by these days.
When I went to W-n-G....all the cavaliers/ sunfires where junked out... i needed carpet, and it rained the day before...total junk cars.....glad that you found something worth having.

Yeah I saw a lot of that out there. I'm going again on Friday if it's not raining so if you want I'll look for you and see what I can find. It's for the Z, right? If I find a good piece I'll pull it and bring it out to to the shop when I make it out there.
if you could do you think you could look for a Broken or at least cheap master power window switch for either a 2 or 4 door. i just want the buttons off them. or maybe you could pull them off and pocket them. thanks man.
yeah if you wanna look for the carpet man...its $5 for the whole thing. Any 2 door will work. Black...and not in too @!#$ty condition. The reason i threw my old stuff away was becuase it smelt like smoke and was in bad shape.

You know, the Sunfire I ganked my console out of still ahd all the glass - which means no water damage - and it seemed to be in decent shape. And it was black. It should still be there unless they've rotated their stock, but I doubt they have yet. I'll check it out man.
I got a question for you, please if you can find a center console other than the one you found for yourself for a sunfire all I need is that piece looks like a cup/bowl that you put change in or whatever it sits right in the middle of the console just before the lid that opens up. Some d#*& broke in my car a year ago and took the change that I had, including that little cup/bowl that holds your change. I'm tire of riding around with a hole in my console.

As for the other two, if I find what you need, we'll work something out with the shipping and what not.
Alex, there are two coupes out there but on one the windows were busted out and the carpet is trashed. The other one was the Sunfire I pulled the console out of. It still has the carpet, but it'spretty dirty. No holes or anything, but I'll leave it up to you if you want me to pull it for you. I'll be out there again this week if I have time, I found an intercooler for my turbo kit and a fuel rail/injectors to do my topfeed conversion. I got Prophet's tails for him too and I'm waiting to hear back about possibly meeting him on Sunday out in Williamsburg or something. If you want this carpet, I can try to get back out and pull it before then, and drop it off on the way.
Pins, the only Sunfire there with the interior in tact was the one I pulled my console out of. All the others were already stripped. I even looked for a pocket that'd fit but no luck. they rotate their inventory pretty frequently so I'll keep a look out.
Wojo, the only master switch I found for a 3rd Gen was in a Sunfire 4-door. There were a ton of 2nd Gens, but I have manual windows so I have no idea if any of them will work. Let me know and I can look again when I go back out there. Otherwise I'll keep my eyes peeled. I'm going to be going out quite a bit until I find all the stuff I'm after.
