Hey yall, new to forum, I have a quick question: What years are interior pieces interchangeable, I have an '02 and local pick-a-parts have 98s, 99s, 97s and such, just curious as to which pieces are interchangeable with the 2002 model, I want to paint interior but would rather get pieces from a donor car and once they are painted swap them out with my current. Thanx in advance
Everything is pretty much identical minus the main dash, bezel around the gauges/radio/HVAC, and the center consoles when it comes to 95-99 versus 2000+.

Not completely true. Not sure what year they changed for sure, but the headliners and rear side panels are different in 2004+ (I now for sure) from my 2001 Z24. Which in turns also makes the front Pillar's different as well. I think the changes started in 03.

You're correct, forgot about those, and yes the change was in '03.
Hope he's not painting that much though!
Thanx for the responses, I'll basically be painting all the plastic, my main concern was the dash pad for fitment, I want to put a gray or black one in. I don't really like the tan interior, which is why I figured if I'm gonna replace it, why not paint to my preference? Anyway, thanx again
I had tan interior in my 01 Z. I put interior for a 04 cavalier i it. The Dash pad was from my 96 Z, but still fits the 04 dash.

I just convered my '97's factory blue interior to a full graphite '04 interior with new GM carpet. Took some time, but looks a million times better.
Swapping to the 2k+ dash wasn't that bad, I had to trim some of it for the cluster, and cut out a bar, as I didn't swap the skeleton underneath. I now have a factory trunk release, and the 12v plug on the console though, so nice upgrade
