I am thinking about puting a boost gauge in the hole where the cigarette lighter goes. What size gauges can I fit in the hole there?

Depends on how big of a hole you want to drill in it
come on WADE, thats just a retarded question.
LMFAO A SHIFT LIGHT WOULD FIT!!!!!!

A really tiny clock would fit too. Maybe take a watch, and grind off the ears that hold the wriststrap. lol. Seriously, gonna have to cut the hole bigger.
lol i think i know what he means. if you drill out the whole area of the cig lighter, i think a 2 1/16" gauge fits nicely.
Yes guys I knew I was going to have to cut the whole bigger.LOL I am trying to figure out how big I can cut it. Or if there is a common size that everyone uses for some reason. I do not want to go to big and then have it not sit flush without fiberglassing it in.

if you'd just start smoking you wouldnt need to worry about it
either the 2"(2 1/16" as some call it) and the 2 5/8" , will need some work done to the dash , because of the angle and shape of the dash
obviously the smaller would require less work

theyre usually the same size, my last ride had a push button in place of the cig. lighter, and it clipped right in.
or maybe he needs something useful, and is boosted, and this isnt just an idea on getting rid of the cig lighter...
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Well the push button stater was an idea I had not thought of. I might look into that.

Something useful would be nice. I have been told a boost gauge might be kind of hard to see if it is located there. I am thinking a water temp might be good there.

I am definitely not keeping it for that purpose. I was smart enough never to have started smoking....unlike z dumb-ass
From everything I have read from searching it looks like to get it to look right I would need to fiberglass it into the bezel. I hope that is not the case.

I am pretty sure I have seen a few people put a gauge there without doing any fiberglass work.

i actually just fitted a 2" oil pressure gauge in where the lighter was, if u dont mind seeing a little behind the ring around the gauge you dont have to do ant fiberglass work, but im gonna go ahead and do the work on it its not that much work to get it to fit and look right.
a push button start fits nice without any modification! just dont forget to wire it so the key has to be on for it to work...
