Cleaning glass??????
Thursday, July 26, 2007 5:12 PM
Hey there, anyone know of a good product that works for cleaning windows, inside and outside glass?
My windows on the outside are really nasty, and washing and drying them dont fix the crap that is on there.

Stoner's Invisible Glass
Can be found at walmart, autozone, checker...
Hands down the best I've ever used.

Spray, wipe down-there will be streaks, wait for it to pretty much dry and wipe down the streaks with a dry part of the towel.

wax them. inside and out.

if your windsheild it chipped up real bad and has lots of lil pits and such, dont wax IT, use that invisible glass-it works REALLY well.

Rain-X 2-in-1 Glass Cleaner & Rain Repellent

My windows never get that dirty, but this stuff makes 'em look like new and the best part is water rolls off much faster with it, it was obvious the first time I drove in the rain after using it.

whats the deal with the newspaper? i just dont get it....seems to me like it would leave ink and paper shreads everywhere.

whats wrong with a nice clean microfiber towel?

I don't remember what it was, but I remember there being a reason that newspaper actually cleans better than a clean towel/cloth,

Unlike paper towel that leaves lint and such, newspaper leaves no residue of any sort.

As stated, Invisible glass and newspaper, been using it for years! After that, add Rain X and your set!

Regular Bon-Ami works well for outside, if you can find it. Use lots of water, and try not to let it get on the paint, it could scratch the paint if you accidentally rub it. Just rinse it off. You can also clay bar the outside too, works really well according to a friend of mine that works at a detail shop.

I've used both the bon ami and invisible glass and from my experiance with both products invisible glass is the way to go.... i found that bon ami is horrible for doing the inside glass since it seems to leave a film on the glass that needs to be wash off after..

If it's got stuff built up on the outside, you can use 0000 steel wool to brush the outside and remove some of the stuff.. You can also use a clay bar (same as you would for your paint), then follow up with wax.

On the inside, Stoner's Invisible Glass or else I like Ardex Detailer's Glass Cleaner. The SIG is safe for tinted windows as well.

I bought stoners invisiable glass, worked good for the inside, but i still have what looks like water spots all over the windows on the outside that will not go away, you can see it when you are up close and the light is shinning the right way.......
Thanks fellows
