Wiring in B-Pillar

Hello,
When removing the door sill plate to run the power wire for an amp, I noticed that behind the B-pillar (between both doors) there was a connector. I believe it was yellow, but don't recall. The B-Pillar had to be unclipped on the bottom to allow for removal of the sill plate, otherwise it's a big PITA. Anyways, is this connector supposed to be connected to something, or was it just left there for possible side-impact air bags or something? I know the yellow connectors are generally for the air bags, but in the B-pillar? This is on a 2003 4-dr Cav, btw. Everything works fine and no lights are lit up.

I have seen them. The bags are mounted in the seats. not in the pillars.

Air bag sensor?

If there was an airbag, it should have been connected?

Side impacts are in the seats after all.

That is, if the car had been offered with them, that is...
