Autometer gauge questions
Sunday, February 24, 2008 4:40 PM
I am getting a AF and Boost gauge with my M45 kit i bought The gauges are AutoMeter Pro Comp

Where do i hook up the AF gauge? Do i just tap into one of the O2 sensors?

Also is there a way to change one of the trim rings the one on the AF gauge has a dent in it

Purple wire I believe, first 02 sensor? Info is around here somewhere, though I'm sure you know it's nothing more than a fancy light show.

Never seen anyone swaps the rings, I imagine the lense is incorporated into it. Gauge should only be $40ish anyhow? I'd personally replace it with something functional, possibly oil pressure?

Im going to replace the AF gauge with a Wideband O2 Sensor

Oil pressure would be a great idea also

Ill have to get a 3 gauge pod and have my boost, oil pressure, and Wideband

Anyone seen a good deal on oil pressure gauge?

Thanks Joe

Karo has a good deal on the Innovate line-up, if you don't mind the Inno-wait (). I have the DB gauge with the LC1 on my way shortly... Or are you just looking to get AFR readings to log somewhere else?

I'll let you check it out when I get it, car toys always make me happy.

(I'd say ditch the boost and get a fuel pressure gauge... Unless you want to have both.)

Fuel Pressure, Oil Pressure, and AFR. That covers the heart, the guts, and the blood of the engine. Anything else, really, is for entertainment (ok, so maybe knowing what you're boosting at is *sorta* important...)
