Eco exhaust sound clips

Ok guys. I have looked all over the web, and then have personaly asked a few of you fomr the JBO about this. But I still havent been able to hear many sound clips of and exhaust from an ecotec. So I was wondering if some of you with an exhaust system on your eco could post some sound clips. So far from this site I have heard NJHK's exhaust from the j-wars video. And I liked the sound of his exhaust, but I would still like to hear a few more before I ask him what kind of exhaust he has, anything will do guys, thanks. -TBWJ21

This is my previous setup on my sunfire. I was running a custom header-back exhaust with a warm air intake. I have a new setup now......I just need to make a video of it. Hope this helps.

What mods do you have on your car and what kind of exhaust setup do you have? I really like the way yours sounds.

Ok I love the sounds of those exhausts, although I only heard a couple cause putfile isnt workin for me. Anyway, can you guys post your setups, I like darkstars, but even on your website it doesnt say what kind of muffler you have. And then I like the white sunfire, but all he put in his pro was that it is a magnaflow cat-back, but which one is it? -thanks for all the vids so far guys

Yeah that white sunfire is me.......that was a custom header back exhaust with a ravin muffler on it. Only cost me 170 bucks installed minus the header. The setup I have now sounds much better. I have the magnaflow cat-back on it now which actually sounds awesome. It's not raspy at all, although it gets kinda loud above 4500 rpm. I'm gonna take some vids tomorrow of my car and post them on here so be sure to check back tomorrow. Hope that helps.

Some of my vids, the first couple are without a resonator, the others are with it, forget what ones have it.

That being said, I have a pacesetter 4:1 ceramic coated header, magnaflow high flow cat, 24" resonator, split to 2 magnaflow dual tip mufflers, forget the part numbers.

Ok, I do like CF_Blues sound setup. That actaully sounded great for a magnaflow. Maybe it was the resonator. One more thing guys, I dont want a resonator to silence the sound of my exhaust too much, but I do need a resonator to make the exhaust sound deeper. So should I go with a smaller or larger resonator. -thanks

I kinda dont know what to get. I dont like how the Cabalt sounds on magnaflow.com (go to "hear it") cause its real high pitched. So I was going to go with borla, but from what you guys are saying magnaflow mufflers usually sounds great. One question, does a bigger muffler equal a deeper sound, or would that be a smaller muffler. I want to make sure I get a nice fairly deep aggressive sound. And could someone answer my last question in my last post? -Much Thanks

there is alot of info in the faq in performance about mufflers, like looking for a straight through design, with no flared things inside that look like a cheese grater.

a longer resonator will kill more of the high pitched sounds and give you a deeper tone. its not always the size of the muffler its how its built and designed as to how it sounds.

Go with something straight through, and alot of the time can style ones buzz a bit more if i remember correctly. so an oval muffler may be a bit better sounding.

also fixed that one link

Allright, thanks for the info. I guess I might try borla, since they have oval mufflers. I want one of those boomer mufflers from their site. Can someone take a look at those and tell me what they think, I am thinking about going with the "Thumper" (i think thats what it is called) muffler. Just go to "Boomer mufflers" and look at the thumper. It looks like a muffler that would have a nice sound to it. And it has a nice tip on it. Also, should I go with a 22" or a 14" resonator, I dont want the resonator to take away too much of the sound from the exhaust, just the raspyness. -thanks
