Youre correct my friend, got them from a friend who had a 2000 Jetta. Painted them semi gloss and got some Kumho Ecsta 711's ..seems like a pretty good tire for the price right now depends on how they perform with a little wear tho.

Ive heard of that town in Kentucky but nope Im in TN

It is lowered but only about 1.25" I have progress springs. I didnt want it slammed cuz of some of the roads and driveways around here. There is more fender gap with the 15's opn it now than with my 16's it doesnt look lowered much by looking at the fender gap but when you look at the overall car you can tell.

Sunstealth - I got the tires cuz of the price b/c its wheels for the winter. We dont have much snow around here and if we do I have a 4wd truck that I drive. I switched mainly cuz of the amount of salt they put down usually more salt than snow lol. With my ls wheels i didnt want the salt to get under the paint where the crome lip is and eat it away.

leads me to a new question.. are u using stock lugnuts or did u get some "ball" seat style lugs to work with the VW wheels

from what i understand all the newer VWs have the ball seat opposed to the cone seat. it could be a safety factor! just looking out for a brother!

Yup Quick youre correct again, the v-dub wheels are ball seated heheh "ball" ne how lol.. The stock lugs that came with my LS wheels worked but where theyre cap type they stuck out a little too far so I purchased 4 sets from a malibu / buick / everything else that was ball seated and open on the end so they would not stick out past the wheel ..good stuff If I had tried reagular steelie lug nuts they would have just dug into the wheel and never torqued.

Sweet arse SLO I know exactly where Wise is you wasnt too far from me at all.

Nope not at all I used a utility knife with a new razor blade in it and used masking tape as a guide line and to keep and paint from wrinkling while i cut it, was pretty easy to cut just took my time and did it carefully I HATED that "mesh" or whatever GM calls it down there I thot it made the car look like it had braces lol

Yea Qwik they should work theyre usually gold colored they have ball shape ends and the other end is open chevy malibu's montes luminas any of those or buicks or even olds have them with certain alloy wheels just look around you shouldnt have any probs finding them

il have to start looking for a set.. il have to raise the coilovers a bit cuz the wheels are a 33 offset!

thanks for the info.
