Rally Style Steelies

Since I am selling my 00-01 Z24 wheels, I figured hell.... If I am going to have steelies, might as well make them look as best as possible.

Rally Style steelies I am just waiting on the center caps to show up. There off the mid 80's early 90's GM Steelies. Just a chrome cap, that says "Chevy" on them. As long as they fit (taking a shot in the dark on this one, being as i've never seen a 3rd gen with them) they'll be covering the spindle nut.

If not, than oh well. I'll just paint the spindle nut black, and the dust cover for the rear wheel bearing black so you can't really see them.

^ I can see the weave at the front edge of the last pic, C/F for sure ... add to that, his sig pic

Looks pretty nice, I thought of doing that a long time ago, but ended up getting LS Sport chrome rims (which have been gone since last summer now)

I was actually thinking, what would it look like, with some Hot Rod style wheels...
Chrome trim ring, Center Cap Chrome (that covers the entire lug nut area), steelie painted to match the car, and a White Wall tire. After thinking about it, I said nah. Lets go old school Rally Style.

I was just going to put hub caps over it, but what's the fun in that?

I think it would look alot better lowered, but eh, im selling a bunch of stuff for a reason. And its not to work on my car.

So steelies that I already had with new tires... plus the $30 I spent on trim rings, I figure, it looks pretty good for a $30 wheel mod.

funny that you said that.

I was going to get Astro Van center caps for them. They were black, with a polish top. However, I wasn't feeling a bidding war for the few pair on ebay.

So i went with the old chevy ones. (I hope they fit!)

I have the same style as the later posted Cav. The 'smooth' ones. I bought them brand new for $25 or so each, stainless steel. Spray bombed the steelies and wrapped a set of Michelin Acrtic Alpine tires on them. Looks bad-ass with a drop.

Selling the Toyo tails by any chance?

Re: Rally Style Steelies
Thursday, December 07, 2006 2:12 PM
no, not selling the tails...

And I thought it'd be pretty sweet for rocking Steelies with brand new treads.

The rims are 15" in, with a 15" chrome trim, 2 inch deep. So thats why they look small. I think they look way smaller that 15".

I paid $30 for all 4 of mine. EBAY!
