Alright guys..I need everyone's input here.
I'm on the edge of selling my car here to purchase an engagement ring.....I'm asking for everyone's input of what i should ask for it?
I understand you'll never get out of a car what you put into it, but I'm selling it as a whole, not parting it out...i'm selling it as a SHOW CAR.
Appreciate it...thankyou everyone~
ALSO, I'm takin offers right now~ feel free to ask any questions you might have.
the car is a 2000, has 89k miles, on the 2200 engine.
my question is do you really WANT to sell it?
you should never have to choose between a girl and your hobby, ever
no woman is worth selling your dreams for.
lance wtf goes through your mind??? if you have to sell your car for an engagement ring wtf are you going to have to sell to do the wedding?? but anyways if you really are going to sell it at least sell me the headlights.
If the girl needs an expensive ring for engagement she isn't worth it

I think it's a good reason to sell the car, car's come and go but the people you love don't. I respect your decsion as you have your priorities straight, unlike most of us on here.... me included. I think your car is worth more than 4k too, more like 5K in my eyes.

Well just to make sure get how important this is I will only have 1 more post for the month after this. 666 is so right about if you are needing to sell the car for an engagement ring what are you doing for the wedding? If you really think this is the one get a nice plain and simple band for now to get engaged. You can tell her that she is worth more then what you can afford right now, but you can't see your life without her. She will be happy, and you can save your money up a little bit longer to get what you want to get her. Don't sell the car just for a ring.

people that are worth your time and effort do not make you make decisions between two things you love
hell, if he doesnt want his car anymore, then by all means sell it
BUT if he is selling it to finance an engagement ring because its the only way he thinks he can get the money, then he shouldnt, because its not what he really wants
if he is serious about marrying this girl, and she is serious about marrying him, then she will wait for the ring she wants
all he has to do is, instead of using the extra money to mod his car, save it for the ring she wants
people do that all the time

hahaha that just made me laugh so hard i shated.. so random!
If she loved you that much she would refuse to let you sell it for a ring.
give the car to her as an engagement ring... at least you would still be able to drive it and if she knows how much it means to you it would have that nice sentimental touch. lol.
Even though I hate my bf's mustang I would never let him sell it to buy me a ring because I know how much his car means to him, anyways I'd rather have a cheap ring and the love of my bf then some expensive ass ring that I would probably loose anyways it seems the more money something costs the faster I loose it sadly
nah just sell the car to me, ill take good care of her for ya
id give ya 4500 cash as soon as i sell my civic

exactly what my brother did. couldnt afford a super nice ring so he bought a cheap (not cheap but you know what i mean) ring and gave her her grandmothers ring too. kinda cool i thought.
no girl NEEDS an expensive ring they mainly just want a nice one and the porposel, once that is done it doesnt matter the cost of the ring and if she complains because its not 1000 or more then you need to kick her to the curb because thats a sign of way more bad things to come down the road, hell my fiance talked me out of getting anything more then a 500$ ring because she said its JUST a ring, the meaning behind it is mire important
keep the car, you mostly likely won't get anywhere near what you want for it. get the woman i nice moderate priced ring. she cares more about the meaning behind it then the pricetag. and if thats not true, turn hide and run...

I've also came to realize a J with this kind of money invested isnt even worth trying to sell....
Buy her an onion ring....Homer did it.......
Most Jewlery places in the mall does in-store credit. They will except almost any body and you can get like 6 months no interest. That's what I did/ i went to Cresent. Just do that, make payments, keep the car and build your credit.
I agree with what everyone said, DO NOT SELL YOUR CAR for a ring. save up for a nice ring, and give her a kick ass proposel with it. Do something that she wouldnt expect be romantic and spontanious at the same time. Drive her to the lake in your car nice candle light dinner, some smooth music playing in the back ground, if there is a nice spot have rose pettles leading to a heart stand in the middle and ask her to marry you.
Do something crazy and out of the blue she will love you way more then for some fancy ring.
WTF.....I you cannot sale that car! Not after I made those lights and sold them to you.
don't
sale
the
car!
the wifes says so too!
