I started collecting parts for this retrofit about a month ago and I finally started on it. I have a few hours into it and its coming along fantastic. I sold my last set of headlights to a member on here since I didn't need two sets of projector headlights hanging around LOL.

The Setup:

• Brand spankin' new headlights (of course)
• Nissan Murano 3'' projectors with STi-R lenses
• TRS Apollo Shroud trimmed to fit (Damn... the shroud was big as hell at first LOL)
• DDM Raptor 35w d2s hid kit

Here is what I have done so far. I'll be updating this thread periodically.

Oh man this is going to look amazing, I like how big the projectors are, starting to look way better than most projectors I have seen out there with big ass housings and small projectors

Thanks man. When it comes to 03+ Cavy projectors, most people go with Infiniti FX35 projectors due to their small size and ease to retrofit. The FX projectors also have a 2.5'' lens. These Murano's are larger and require more work, but they have a 3'' inch lense which fills up the headlight better. Plus, I wanted to be different and do something no one has done.

I'll have more done tonight and I'll post pics. This is pretty fun.

I think you should have gotten bigger projectors.

If it doesn't. That will be an easy fix. I'll just move the projector into the reflector further. I'll double check on that tonight.

New pics from tonight. The light is about 50% done. It needs to be sealed and cleaned up. No big deal.

Looks better than any '03+ I've seen IMO. Props.

I had to cut a bit into the back part of the headlight a bit, but it's still fairly clear. The cap wont fit anymore so I will have to seal with aluminum tape. The Murano and the TL are probably the biggest projectors you can find.

Hmmm maybe case by case, but I don't know about that just yet. My life is already busy as it is LOL.

I really didn't think the lenses were going to fit.

Mine looked good in the living room too, but on the car was totally different. I think there mounted to far forward. ( I didn't build them), but on the car, they shine like 15 feet forward on the ground. I have better output from my fogs lol

Scott - They fit, but BARELY. I think I'm going to order a different set of shrouds and see what works better.

Silrblit - Sounds like an aiming issue? I will have pics tonight of output outside (hopefully). I sealed up one light without the shroud to test around with.

I love it.

Updates:

The good... they are 90% done.

The bad... I can't use the shrouds that are pictured above in this thread. They are simply too large and don't allow up/down adjusting of the headlamp . However, I'm going to order another set of shrouds and hope that they work instead. Untill they get here or whenever I order them, I'm going to rock the projectors without shrouds. They won't be like this long.

Damn I wanted to use those shrouds too.
