What's it look like? Here is the cav. 125k miles on Castrol GTX in 3-4k mile OCI, one 2,500 mile OCI of Maxlife Blend 10W-40, and the current fill was about 5k into a Pennzoil Platinum fill. Current fill now is Castrol Edge 5W-20, will be running it in 7500-10k mile OCI with a Bosch DistancePlus D3331 filter.

97- 2.2L, 133,000 miles.

03 Ford Expedition 4.6L SOHC, 64,000 miles. Mostly 3-5K OCI on a mix of....
-Dealer bulk Motorcraft 5W-20 Syn Blend
-Jiffy Lube/Midas Bulk 5W-20 Conventional
-Current fill of Pennzoil Yellow Bottle 5W-20

Finally, the Jeep.
99 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L, 37,000 miles
First 20k miles unknown service
Since then, Mobil 1 10W-30 in 4k mile OCI

Sorry, I keep forgetting this isn't BITOG.

What's it look like under there? Clean? Sludged? Varnish? Do you have cool rocker arms to show off? What?

This is mine.

Yep, you can always find the BITOGers on this site (like nick and myself)..

I'd be willing to bet my VCs would be like that, since my Js run on nothing but synthetic.......

this is the intake side of my 2.4 after 126k miles.

(valvetrain is very dry in this pic, due to sitting in my garage not being run since november)
i purchased the car with 80k on it and its had mobil 1 full synth since 90k with oil changes done around 1500-2000 miles (around 3 month intervals) and always with an AC/Delco filter. unknown service intervals or materials before that, but it couldn't have been all that bad cause it doesn't look too bad. and i haven't been nice to it either

This was taken around 70,000km, having been turbo'd for 20,000km. Filled mostly with Quaker State Synthetic 5W-30, sometimes other brands.

I don't have pics bow but my girls 96 vert had 136000 on it when I pulled the engine and the bottom end looks pretty decent so I'm assuming the top end will look just as good, I can't say what the oil changes were like on her bc when I bought her a month ago I took it home and pulled the engine due to spun bearing but if I get pics ill find out.
