Cold AIr Intake question

I was reading in one of the forums that if you disconnect your battery for 30 minutes it resets the computer module so that what? you can hear the intake more if you reset it????what does it do

Shifted

Its supposed to reset some of the learned fuel maps so that the car runs better with the new intake. It won't make you hear it more, just makes your car use it to its full potential.

If you wouldnt, it just takes longer for the MAX HP you will see from the product. This way it just starts over and starts taking advantage of the new product.

I notice a really rough idle before i disconnected it, let it reset then it was all good
