well in your car the 2.4 liter DOHC is the largest engine to be put in from the factory, and that stands for all cavaliers 95- present, the previous generations had a V6 which i believe is a 3.1 liter that was available, and the biggest engine that bolts directly up to YOUR tranny, would be the 2.4 liter, but believe me, if you want to do an engine swap, it is muuuuuuuuuuch more than just getting an engine and throwing it in the car
