Resonator and Down pipe size on Pacesetter.....
Wednesday, July 20, 2005 10:14 PM
Ok my computer is being a tard and will not let me keep search old posts, so i will just throw this in here for some help without being harassed.

What is the size of the downpipe on the pacesetter downpipe before they downsize it to fit your stock exhaust?

I need a new resonator, What are the prices on them new from Magnaflow or dynomax. I've been trying to look on Summit and i can't seem to search on my comp tonight for some reason. I am looking for 2.5" inlet/outlet and around 25-30" long.

The Pacesetter header not only does not line up ithe the exhaust ports, but the pipe requires that you cut and weld a new peice in because the collector flows into a downpipe smaller then the stock one. I hate pacesetter's @!#$ and I hate high rev motorsports for selling it to me.

Umm..... did you order the wrong year one or somthing? If you ordered one for a 95-97 OHV for your 2200 or vise versa it is going to be off. The down pipe is larger than the stock one i have. I just don't know wheather it is 2.25 or 2.50. I don't remember.

I had a custom down pipe bent from stainless 2 1/4" exhaust for my pacesetter header definetly was a fitment issue the downpipe just wasnt long enough. Mines a 98 z24.

coldairintake-yea thats wat i plan on doing, pacesetter header and cat-back exhaust and just have a shop fabricate the downpipe..how much of a hassle was the fitment issue as wat downpipe wasnt long enough? the one u had made, or the connector one that comes with the header?
