Well, I wound up posting the orginal thread in the wrong forum because I didnt see this one. So let me start over here.
Well hello everyone. I just signed up today for the j-body community. To tell you the absolute truth I dont drive a j-body. I used too though. I had a 1993 Cavalier RS Sedan with the 2.2L. Why GM would call something an RS and put a 4cyl in it beyond me!
I currently drive a 1990 Chevy Corsica (L-body). I recently purchased a 89 Cavalier Z24 5 speed parts car (it was wrecked pretty bad on the passengers side) so I can swap the engine, tranny and all accompanying parts, along with the FE3 suspension into the Corsica. Currently the Corsica has a 2.2L TBI AT, and FE1. Let me tell you...running around Dallas with a 2.2 TBI just plain dangerous
Anyways. I WAS planning on putting the 2.2 back into the Cavalier and stripping all of the Z fx and special parts, selling those and reselling the car for price ($150) as a base Cavailer. However it occured to me that I would have to get a new hood, shift asembly, wiring harness, etc. So that plan is out the door. Now Im just planning on parting out the entire car, minus anything under the hood, such as engine, tranny, halfshafts, swaybar, rack (yes Im pulling the rack too) I wil be selling the wiring harness if anyone needs it.
Things for sale will be ALL interior things minus the shift assembly, and column. Im going to be using the turn signal cam into my Corsica column, as I actually have a 89 Z24 wheel on there now, and I lost cruise control when I put it on.
Basically, Im just saying hi and trying to get a feel for how many people want 2nd Gen Exterior Z24 parts and J-body interior parts. Thanks.
Whats blue, rides smooth as silk, and treats you right?
