this website is full of other people with them, actually there are 103 1996 chevy cavalier sedans with the 2.2l listed on here. you really should do some preformance mods, that is the slowest combo for a 3rd gen.

yep, definitely the slowest combo. performance mods won't help much. if you want a significant performance gain with that combo, i suggest boost. intake, header, cat, full exhaust, and i've barely felt a gain in my 97 2.2 3 speed auto. thats why i'm looking for an ld9 to swap in.

enjoy your cav

I've been with that car for a year and some months now, and to tell you the truth, despite the fact that it has 10 years and that it has these horrible "click" "clack" and "crack" sounds, it has resisted golf-camp city Tijuana very well and it has never let me down. Not even when the Goddamn transmission broke down(My fault. Don't try to rice, check the levels often.) When it broke down, the car still resisted all the way back to my house in Tj from San Diego and then all the way to the mechanic.

The Cavalier has been a very good car. Though I would rather like it to be a 5speed.
