2.2 or the eco. the 2200 engine is a 2.2 and the poster might not have known that there was a difference between the old 2.2 and the new 2.2

to be technical and anal, if you don't have a 2.4L or a 2.3L in a 3rd gen, then you have a 2.2L regardless (barring you guys with swaps

the 2.2L was worse off then the 2200, for a dew reasons, but those will be discussed in another thread, its not warrented here.
yea man u got da 2.2L engine which is a peace of crap,i would know becuase i got tha sameee engine and it sucks and its slow.i mean for me to race sumone in my automatic and beat them i gotta drive with 1,2,3,Drive ...i beat sum cars like hyundai n da otha day i smoked a 98 integra and i dont know how cuase they all come twin camed.but i think you should engine swap to a ecotec engine dats what im going to do cuase this 2.2L engine sucks butt
