Toyota tail lights ???

What are the Toyota tail lights? Which model they are from? Do you have any pictures for me?

Not that I want them (AFAIK they don't have the red brake/turn combi-lights <- a must have for me, because "normal" cars must have seperate yellow blinkers and that's not a "normal" car here in germany *g*).

Thank.

Since you just joined, I'll be nice.
Chevy had a deal with Toyota to sell the cavalier under Toyota badginf in Japan as a RHD with alot of different parts, such as the "Toyota tails". Since in Japan it is required to have the Turn signal seperate from the brake light, they came up with these tails lights. With about 20 min of wiring mods, you can install a set of Toyota tails and have them work as they would on the Toyota Cavalier.

Big thanks

Well, brake lights and turn signals are seperate on those, but are the turn signals red or yellow?

On the 95-99 style the lens is colored yellow (amber)
On the 2000 style (the ones in the pic) the lens is clear and you can put whatever color you want. I have a blue bulb that illuminates hyper white.

blue bulbs for turn signals = illegal. opt, instead, for the Sylvania Silverstar turn signals. they light up amber, but look purplish/blue during the day.

Actualy Z24G I'm kinda surprised that Germany didn't make you have them to get tags on your car. I know for example in England turn signals MUST be amber front and rear.
Thought it was like that for Europe too.

That said STLWACO is correct. You can get them off E-bey or from a company here called StreetLine thats located in Florida. The wireing diagrams are all over the place on here.

Must not be illegal here. I have my share of cops behind me every day just cause of the way my car looks. They follow me waiting for me to do something wrong. I've been pulled over for "no front plate" (it actually was on, the cop was just blind) and for the 10 min I was sitting infront of him with the hazzard lights going, he didn't say a word. I also was pulled over for running a red (it was yellow, that's my story and I'm sticking to it) light. That was at about 2 am. I had my hazzard lights on and the cop even did a walk around and didn't say anything.

Since the beginning of this year, red turn signals are also prohibited in Germany. You MUST change them from red to amber at every now imported car. But people with cars with a special permission from before that date (like me) can keep them red

And I will keep mine, so everyone behind me can see that I drive a real US-car.

Yeah if I were you I'd leave them alone. People do the Toyota tails here to be different but you just haveing the car where you live makes the regular Cavi. different and rare.
I'd say leave them alone. But thats just my 2 cents.

The 11th digit on the VIN is "7".
I know that my car was build in Lordstown, OH

And yes, I don't want to change the exterior. Just new tires in the next weeks because I am not a friend of All-Season tires, like the ones I have now on (Good Year RSA - Made in USA ) But I was surprised how well they performed in the last snowy months.

That is what they looked like on my old car. They are the 95-99 series. I liked them, thought they went well with my color. The 2K+ tails have this weird lavander boarder around the turn signal area, that I think is pretty ugly. Might go well with someone's car, but I know I used to give Brian (SpeedRacerZ) a lot of @!#$ for it. He ended up painting over them...
