Shift Boot Bezel Trim
Monday, March 13, 2006 7:01 PM
Hi! First post on this forum. I'll try not to mess up.

My bezel for my 5sp shift boot has to broken tabs that hold it down. Needless to say it won't stay down. The vinyl is hardened so the boot wants to follow the stick, bezel and all. I don't like looking down into the console. I'd like a new boot anyway. What do I do about the bezel to hold it in place? All I can come up with is superglue.
Any help is welcome.

You could get a new one from a junkyard. If you want a new boot, http://www.aplusperformance.com

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!

Thanks for the link. But, do I need that plastic OEM ring to clamp down the boot?

Thanks for the help. I got the used car dealer that I bought the car from to order me a new one for free (friend of the family). But, if I get a new boot, how does that work? Do I slip it over the existing one or do I have to take apart the old OEM boot and ring?

All you have to do is pop the current boot/ring out of place and pop the new one in it's place. The new boot will completely replace the current one.
