hi guys i ve bean searching here for 2 weeks for some info for my
swap from a 97 2.2l to a 01 2.4l

for now i have a donor car and for the motor and the tranny wires etc for 300$ cnd

but the tranny mount on the tranny was broke so i have to change to the tranny or maybe just weld the tranny to the mount ... dunno if its possible

anyway im really debating if a should go for it on this project because alot of people is saying that it is a big job and alot on garages refuse of doing it for me....

but if i would do it my self a would have two mecanics that now these motors pretty good ....but is it worth it???

and could someone tell me what to change on my car for the swap ??? i

ive been searching for this info but now for a 97 to a 01 so somedy help me now

because he is gonna bring the car to scrap really soon .....

Everything...really...

Motor, transmission, transmission mounts, upper engine mount, ignition system, fuel system, all the wiring but the hardest part for you is that you would have to change your electrical system as well being that the Pre-2000 electrical systems are totally different.

It's alot of work but nothing is impossible.

I'm still a newbie with engine swaps, but I would have to vote, Thats it's not worth it for all of that in a swap for the power to money ratio aspect of it.I say if you want to do it for experience and to say you did it and had the money + time then go for it and you'll leanr alot of useful experience. If it was be....wait i have a 2.4, but when i had my 2.2 i would just wait and buy one and then tweak on the 2.4 motor itself and learn from that. just my 2 cents and no flaming at all intended if taken that way. I'm still a newbie to swaps like i said and by no means no a bunch on that swap.
