ok... we had our first club meeting today and I was talking to a guy is long story short I have the chance to buy a fully buit motor from a guy who recently scrapped his fully built Z24 project for a 2001 Camaro SS.
The motor has never been installed and consists of the following mods.
JE Pistons 10.5:1
Eagle Rods
Total seal rings
GM 2.3L cams
RKSport Crank Pully
RKSport Upper Engine Mount
RKSport Lower Engine Mount (with Mark Pain bushings)
NGK plugs
RKSport Spark Plug Springs
RMS Intake Ported to Throttle Body
RSM 62mm throttle body
Thermal Reasurch Exhaust
OBX Stainless Header
Motor is Ballanced
Ported and Polished head
5 Angle valve job
chamfered crank & Lightend Crank
O-ringed Block And copper head gasket.
We have not discussed a price yet, but im supposed to email him when I decide what to do and we can go from there and im kinda wondering a few things..
I know the compression is a lil high, so how much boost could I run with it without blowing this ?
Also its out of a 99 and my car is a 2k1.. what would be involved in switching out the motor ( will search for more on this, but a quick rundown would be nice )
Im wondering about how much power do you think this motor would produce N/A
and if there is anything else I should add

Don't be scared of compression. If you can get some type of ignition timing control and retard the timing, you'll be fine.

Thanks.. thats the info im looking for.. Im guessing he wants about 2500 for it
but the motor is put together and I dont have the slightest idea how to install an engine, but he built one and will help me swap it if I get it.. so i believe it is most likely worth the money... not to mention the boost
