^ ^ i know someone who is selling a stock GT exhaust... PM me if interested
im upgrading to a 2.25 piping kinda the enitre point of this post i need to know how much pipe i need.
would that bender be good for exhaust piping... i mean it wont crush or dent the pipe but bend it nice and smooth right...
They will be crush bent, which isn't really a big deal if you aren't boosted. Mandrel bending is more expensive, but your local exhaust shop should be able to do it for you.
But really, how many people look that closely at your exhaust? Just piece it together man. Once it's welded you could even paint it and it would look pretty good. It's all going to get covered in crud eventually anyway.
true, i just figured that it would be harder to cut the peices apart and weld them then just gettin it bent, Wouldn't just gettin them bent be cheaper too?
Well, yes and no.
If you wanted to bend it. You could either bend it yourself which would require you to buy a bender, or have a shop bend it for you, which they would charge you for. If you did it on your own it would be compression bent, a muffler shop might be, it might be mandrel bent.
If you buy pieces of exhaust tubing, you find most of it is pre bent. When you need to get it welded a shop will charge you, yes, but they will probably not charge you much just to seal up a system that's already clamped together.
alright so this is what im goin to be orderin unless u think i need more
Jegs- 4 ft 2.25 piping, j bend, u bend for $57.71 shipped
