lower intake removal

Hey i just got my bros cosmo intake off his car cause hes selling it. we both have ecotec engines. His friend installed it originally b4 i got into cars. now my intake uses the rk sport ram air hood.i can remove almost everyhting off my intake except the lower portion of the intake..ive got the battery out. Im using a light to see where if any bolts nuts screws are but i cant seem to find any. could somone point me in the right direction.?

you mean the bong?

not sure on the ecotec, but on the 2.4 you turn the steering wheelall the way right. then remove the front drivers side tire (jack it up first of course). then take off the inner fender lining. you sort of have to feel around. when i took mine out it was still attached to a plastic clip that i couldnt see

damn...lol my saturns lower intake was like two bolts to get it off looks like this will be another summer project...

hey i just posted up a whole instruction list on how to do the intake removal and install on a 2.2 ecotec engine very detailed check it out i titled it the proper way to install a CAI remeber your lower box and washer fluid is bolted together but you stiil need washer fluid bottle check out my form and any questions let me know...Wayne(Bluedriftcavy)

i just used a dremel and cut mine off...easier.

if its the part in the engine bay it should just pull up and out there is a coupler where it goes in to the fender well under the fuse box.

I pulled off the wheel and the fender lining in the front. Disconnected the washer fluid resevoir and bung, seperated em and put the washer fluid resevoir back in.

Congrats your gonna save about 10 pounds in weight.
